2004 OXOID INFECTION CONTROL TEAM OF THE YEAR AWARDS NOW OPEN –
YOUR TEAM COULD WIN £5,000
Oxoid are pleased to announce that the 2004 Oxoid Infection Control Team of the Year Awards are now open for entry.
The Awards, which were launched in 2003, are designed to recognise and reward those who are making a real difference to improved standards of infection control within hospitals worldwide. The 2003 Awards were a tremendous success with over 50 entries received from 15 countries. The first prize winners were Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Hospitals Trust (further details of the winners can be found on www.oxoid.com).
£5,000 for the winning team
The first prize, a commemorative trophy and a cheque for £5,000, will allow the winning team the freedom to choose how they should be rewarded, whether with a team-building event, training or perhaps they will use the money to cover travel expenses to conferences and seminars of interest. 2nd and 3rd prize winners will receive framed prize winners’ certificates and £1,000 and £500 respectively. The judges may also, at their discretion, make Highly Commended Awards for particular achievements. Representatives from the Award winning teams will be invited to receive their prizes at a celebratory dinner to be held in Summer 2005. The closing date for entries into the Awards is 28 February 2005.
Entry is simple – there are no forms to completeTo enter you should provide a summary (maximum 2000 words) explaining the infection control challenges faced in your hospital and how team members respond to these challenges; describe the results of your work and how this has made a difference to your patients and hospital.
