Oxoid takes Australian Technology to the world

During 2003, Oxoid Australia celebrated 25 years as an Australian company, offering Australian microbiologists premium quality products backed up by industry leading service levels.

Oxoid is proud to have grown to be one of Australia ’s leading manufacturers of bacteriology products, and from 1 December 2003 started exporting the Microbact Identification Kits and Serobact Latex Products to over 100 countries through Oxoid’s international distribution channels.

The Microbact Identification products have been developed in Australia , and will continue to be manufactured by Oxoid in Adelaide. Research and development of the range will continue to be based in Adelaide, led by Australian scientists.

From 1 December 2003, users of the Microbact range will notice changes in packaging as these products are re-branded in Oxoid livery. In addition, the Computer Aided Software will be updated offering users an enhanced identification system. Oxoid’s unparalleled quality assurance and quality control will ensure that all products manufactured in Adelaide are of world-class standard and able to compete with the best the world has to offer.
