Oxoid Demonstrate Commitment to Food Safety as Platinum Sponsors of IAFP European Symposium

Oxoid is proud to announce its joint platinum sponsorship, alongside DuPont® Qualicon, of the forthcoming International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) Fifth European Symposium on Food Safety at the Estrel Convention Center in Berlin, Germany on 7-9 October 2009. At the symposium, entitled "Advancements in Food Safety" delegates can exchange food safety ideas with colleagues from across Europe and learn of the latest developments from Oxoid.

Visit stand #2 to see the latest Oxoid products and methods, including Brilliance™ CampyCount Agar for the enumeration of Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli in poultry samples; new culture media for the detection of Cronobacter spp. (formerly known as Enterobacter sakazakii); the ELISA Systems range of allergy testing kits, that are now available in Europe alongside the Oxoid range; and the Precis™ Rapid Culture Methods for Salmonella and Listeria, which deliver a confirmed result in just two days. Oxoid will also present a variety of scientific posters in support of these and other products.

To reflect their longstanding relationship, Oxoid and DuPont® Qualicon are exhibiting together within stand #2.  The BAX® System Q7 for the detection of food pathogens, yeasts and moulds by PCR, will also be on display.  The BAX® PCR System Q7 is available from, and supported by, Oxoid in Europe.
