VITOX

Vitox is a sterile lyophilised concentrate of essential growth factors. Many workers prefer such a chemically defined growth supplement to yeast extract for the supplementation of Thayer Martin Medium.

Vitamin B₁₂	0.1mg
L-glutamine	100.0mg
Adenine	10.0mg
Guanine	0.3mg
p-Aminobenzoic acid	0.13mg
L-cystine	11.0mg
NAD (Coenzyme 1)	2.5mg
Cocarboxylase	1.0mg
Ferric nitrate	0.2mg
Thiamine	0.03mg
Cysteine hydrochloride	259.0mg

VITOX REHYDRATION FLUID

Vial contents
Glucose	1.0g
Distilled water	10.0ml

Directions
Aseptically add one vial of Hydration Fluid to one vial of Vitox. Mix gently to dissolve completely. Aseptically add the contents of one vial to sterile medium of choice, cooled to approximately 50°C. Mix gently and pour into sterile Petri dishes.
