MODIFIED CNA SELECTIVE SUPPLEMENT

A freeze-dried selective supplement for the isolation of Staphylococcus aureus and streptococci

Vial contents (each vial is sufficient for 2.5 litres of medium)
Nalidixic acid	12.5 mg
Colistin Sulphate	18.75 mg

Directions
Reconstitute one vial as directed, aseptically add the contents to 2.5 litres of either Blood Agar Base No.2 or Columbia Agar Base containing 5-7% Defibrinated Horse Blood SR0050 cooled to approximately 50°C. Mix well and pour into sterile Petri dishes.
