Directions
Add 17.5g to 1 litre of warm (60°C) distilled water and mix well to dissolve. Distribute and sterilise by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes.
Description
Medium No.3 is used in the turbidimetric assay of penicillin and tetracycline with Staphylococcus aureus.
Taking advantage of modern technology, this medium is based on the original `Penassay Broth’ which has been withdrawn.
Storage conditions and Shelf life
Store the dehydrated medium at 10-30°C and use before the expiry date on the label.
