Photo Competition - Terms and Conditions

1. The promotion is open to residents of the UK and Ireland aged 18 and over excluding employees of Thermo Fisher Scientific.
2. To enter, email your high resolution portrait to oxoid.clinical@thermofisher.com. Multiple entries are permitted, but only attach one image to each email.
3. All entries must be the entrant's own original work and must not have been published previously.
4. Entrants warrant and undertake that photos submitted will not infringe intellectual property, privacy or any other rights of any third party. Entrants must ensure that any person or persons whose image is used in an entry has given valid consent for the use of their image or has waived any rights they may have in the image submitted. Where such person is under 16, the consent of that person's parent or guardian must be obtained. Failure to adequately demonstrate such consent to the satisfaction of Thermo Fisher Scientific may result in the entrant's disqualification and forfeiture of any prize.
5. There will be no prize for entering this promotion however selected entries will be published as detailed in paragraph 6 below.
6. Selected images will be published on Oxoid (part of Thermo Fisher Scientific) websites and may be used in other promotional materials such as advertisements, posters.  Those entrants submitting selected images will be notified by email and such entrants names will be published alongside the photographs on the Oxoid website.
7. In consideration of Thermo Fisher Scientific agreeing to consider the entry, each entrant grants to Thermo Fisher Scientific an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence for the full period of copyright to publish or otherwise use the entry in so far as is relevant to this specific competition in any way and at any time. Thermo Fisher Scientific may cut, edit, crop or arrange the entry as it sees fit.
8. For the avoidance of doubt, all rights in the photographs other than those granted to Thermo Fisher Scientific under paragraph 8 above are retained by the entrant.
9. No responsibility is taken for entries lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete due to server functions or failures, virus, bugs, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or any other causes outside Thermo Fisher Scientific’s control. Proof of entry is not proof of receipt.
10. Thermo Fisher Scientific shall not be responsible for the return of entries.
11. No purchase necessary.
12. Selected entrants may be required to take part in promotional activity and Thermo Fisher Scientific reserves the right to use the names and addresses of winners, their photographs and any media submitted by them in relation to the promotion in any publicity.
13. Thermo Fisher Scientific cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant as a result of entering the promotion or any injury or damage to the entrant's or any other person's computer or mobile telephone relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the promotion. Nothing shall exclude Thermo Fisher Scientific’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
14. Any personal data submitted by the entrant will be used solely by Oxoid for the purposes of market research, product marketing and statistical analysis.  Your data will be treated in confidence and will only be shared with other affiliates within the Thermo Fisher Scientific group of companies (including companies in the United States of America and other countries outside of the EU) solely for the purposes mentioned above and so that you can be contacted with details of special offers and products that may be of interest. If you wish to receive further information on the companies with whom your information may be shared, please write to us at Wade Road, Basingstoke Hampshire.
