Oxoid Show Riboprinter® Microbial Identification and Characterisation System in Dublin
Oxoid will be demonstrating the RiboPrinter® microbial identification and characterisation system during an interactive workshop at the Institute of Validation Technology (IVT) Aseptic Processing and Sterile Processes conference to be held in Dublin, 27 September 2005.
During the workshop entitled “DNA Fingerprinting: Tracking, Trending, and Identifying Microbes to Solve Aseptic Manufacture Issues – A Case Study Approach”, Laura Ward, Market Development Manager, Oxoid Ltd will explore the benefits of a fully automated identification and characterisation system and will show how to utilise the RiboPrinter® system’s strain level information for pharmaceutical applications.
Grace Thornhill, Technical Director P3 Scientific will present two case studies – “Tracking a product contaminant to its source” and “The RiboPrinter® solves a case of microbial misidentification”.
An interactive session will follow where case studies will be presented to the audience and participants will utilise bacterial genetic fingerprints to solve the issues presented.
