Oxoid Food Seminar Day: book your free place at this valuable Seminar today We are pleased to offer free places at the 7th Oxoid Food Seminar Day, which is provided by Thermo Fisher Scientific as a service to those working in the field of food safety. The Oxoid Food Seminar Day will be held on Monday 12 October 2009 at the internationally renowned Campden BRI, Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire, UK.

The agenda for this year’s event is as follows:

  • Prof. Chris Griffith - Do food handlers implement the food hygiene practices they know?
  • Janet Corry (Bristol University) - Study on Campylobacter in broiler chicken populations
  • Helen Arrowsmith (Campden BRI) - The importance of food allergen testing
  • Dr Melody Greenwood (Microtech services (Wessex) Ltd and Chair of the BSI AW/009 Microbiology Committee) - Update on international microbiology methods
  • Pauline Kalkman ( MicroVAL) - The MicroVal method validation process and up-date on the harmonisation of the MicroVal and AOAC
  • Wilma Jacobs-Reitsma (RIKILT Institute of Food Safety) - The role of an expert laboratory for MicroVal

The Oxoid Food Seminar Day is free to attend for anyone working in the field of food safety, but places must be booked in advance and are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
